Maggie Crosslin '26 Wins Third State Title

St. Cecilia Academy senior Maggie Crosslin won her second and third state titles at the TSSAA Division II Class A Girls State Championships on May 20 in Knoxville, Tennessee. She placed first in the 3200-meter and 1600-meter races.
“We are proud of Maggie,” said Director of Athletics Brad Bishop. “She embodies the St. Cecilia student-athlete with her poise, leadership, and drive for excellence. She is an all-around champion on and off the course, and it is wonderful to see her fulfill her dreams of winning state titles.”

Crosslin’s win in the 3200-meter was decisive, with a finish 11 seconds ahead of her closest competitor from Christian Academy in Knoxville. In the 1600-meter, she was two seconds ahead of a runner from Grace Christian Academy in Franklin. Crosslin was also a three-time region champion this year in the 3200, 1600, and 800 meters.

In November, Crosslin won her initial state title by placing first in the TSSAA State Cross Country Championships. The Tennessee Sports Writers Association named her to the DII-A All-State Cross Country and All-State Track & Field Teams. She will continue her running career in Cross Country and Track at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

Crosslin’s dream of winning a state title began early. “Since kindergarten, athletics and running have been deep passions of mine,” she said. She credits her family, friends, and St. Cecilia for her success. She added, “I would not be able to compete at this level without the support of my family, friends, and the St. Cecilia community. As an athlete at SCA and in an all-girls environment, we lift each other, pushing each other to improve, and making the most of our experiences by incorporating faith as a way of motivation.”
