Life at St. Cecilia Academy

We have a lot of fun at SCA! Whether dressing up in goofy costumes during Spirit Week or hanging out and chatting before and after practice, St. Cecilia students study, play, and pray in an environment that inspires them to an abiding sense of purpose. We emphasize each girl’s personal growth in an environment where she is encouraged to discover her talents and take risks.

Students have many opportunities to get involved in St. Cecilia’s vibrant school life, from sports to clubs to off-campus service and travel. Through these activities, girls discover new interests, like Robotics or Theater or Mock Trial, and in the process exercise leadership in all kinds of ways. St. Cecilia students are encouraged to take on leadership roles to prepare them for the future. Consistently, the thing that stays with students long after they graduate is the reality of friendships that stand the test of time thanks to the close-knit, supportive community that began during their years at SCA.

Beginning in Junior High, every day starts with advisory where students get to know each other within the grade and their teachers on a deeper level. In this small group environment, the girls receive individual attention and guidance on how to prepare for their days.  Once students enter their sophomore year, advisory includes girls across grade levels who continue to be mentored by a faculty advisor. In this mini-community, girls get to know and appreciate one another through shared conversation and celebration. The result is an authentic human connection that builds friendships for a lifetime.
