Strength and Conditioning

The Strength and Conditioning and Wellness Program is rooted in the St. Cecilia Academy philosophy of equipping students "to excel in scholastic and extracurricular pursuits;" and, as such, is essential to their formation of "body, mind, and spirit!"

Goals

  • We aim to encourage and instill mental and physical toughness in our students and develop the body and mind in a way that teaches the value of hard work, accountability, positivity, and effort in each workout and in life. 
  • To educate students in using weighted and resistance movements to prevent injury, elevate their performance level, and build confidence for their competition, academics, and life.
  • To maximize the potential of each student through programs designed to meet the physical demands of each sport. Such programs include those of strength, mobility, endurance, and agility.
  • We aim to build relationships that challenge and build up our students not only as individuals and members of their team but also as members of the SCA community.
