St. Cecilia Academy is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Lea Crockett, affectionately known as “Woo” to friends and a 1961 graduate, has been named the 2026 Outstanding Alumna of the Year. This honor is awarded annually to an alumna nominated by her peers in recognition of her service and commitment to SCA, as well as her leadership and outstanding contributions to her family, faith, community, vocation, or profession.
Elizabeth grew up on The Dominican Campus and, after graduating from St. Cecilia, earned her degree in Registered Nursing from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a cardiology nurse for more than 19 years at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, before retiring and moving back home to Franklin. For decades, Elizabeth has faithfully served her family, community, the Catholic Church, and St. Cecilia Academy.
All alumnae are invited to join us in honoring Elizabeth at the 121st Alumnae Mass and Luncheon on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the luncheon.
Alumna service and commitment includes, but is not limited to, involvement with the school as an advocate, volunteer, benefactor, alumnae association volunteer, faculty or staff member or coach.
Leadership and outstanding service in her family, faith, community, vocation, or profession, and in doing so is an inspiration for others.
