SCA Announces National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist and two Commended Scholars
St. Cecilia Academy senior Elizabeth Adler has been named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. This outstanding young scholar is among 16,000 Semifinalists nationwide out of a pool of over 1.5 million students. Elizabeth believes National Merit is one step toward her future and shares, “The love and support that I have been shown at SCA has shaped me into the young woman I am today, and I am confident that my St. Cecilia education will help me to achieve success in my future endeavors.”
We also proudly announce two Commended Scholars, Maggie Niesen and Allison Cliffel. Maggie is a graduate of Christ the King School and actively participates in leadership roles and several clubs at SCA, including President of the Senior class, Vice President of the Service Club, Student Government, Mu Alpha Theta, just to name a few, and is a member of the SCA Ambassadors.
Allison, a graduate of St. Henry School, is a member of the National Honor Society, the SCA Bowling team, the Sodality Club, the Adventure Club, Mary’s Meals, Best Buddies, and is a Camp SCA helper and Vacation Bible School leader. Commended Scholars have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success. Their participation as leaders in school activities and their intellectual development are vital to advancing educational excellence in our nation.
