Emma Galassini '22 is our Scarab Nation Spotlight Athlete! Emma is a junior and starting forward on the basketball team.
When asked about Emma, head coach Brian Hemping said, “Emma has been a leader for us both statistically and by setting the tone each day in practice. She’s accepted the responsibilities that come with being a captain and has developed a fierce ‘will to win’ attitude. Emma is the epitome of what it means to be a Scarab basketball player. We sat down with Emma to find out what makes her such a special player and teammate.
Question: How long have you been playing this sport?
Answer: Since Kindergarten.
Question: What do you love most about this sport?
Answer: The team work and developing new skills.
Question: Who is your biggest rival?
Answer: Harpeth Hall.
Question: Do you have any pregame rituals or traditions?
Answer: Listening to music to get pumped up.
Question: Do you have plans to compete collegiately?
Answer: Nope.
Question: How close are you all as a team?
Answer: Very Close! We are always together and go out for team dinners after almost every game.
Question: What do you attribute your success to?
Answer: Great coaching and supportive teammates.
Question: What is your favorite TV show?
Answer: New Girl.

Answer: Anything by Taylor Swift
