Valedictorian of the Class of 2025, Dalton Marie Vaughn
Congratulations to the Valedictorian of the Class of 2025, Dalton Marie Vaughn!
The Valedictorian for the Class of 2025 is a model scholar-athlete who has managed to maintain a nearly perfect GPA throughout her high school career. She excels in both STEM and Humanities subjects and is an AP Scholar with Honor.
While she is clearly an exceptional student academically, her gifts exceed the classroom. She has been an instrumental member of SCA athletics, having played for the golf, basketball, and lacrosse teams. She has earned several awards, including the TSSAA Distinguished Award and the TSSAA Academic Achievement Award—both for maintaining a high GPA while playing varsity sports. Her coaches remarked, “Beyond her athletic prowess, she is a natural leader and team player. She is always willing to support her teammates and lead by example.”
Besides being an excellent scholar and athlete, this student has a deep appreciation for the arts. She has been actively involved in the SCA Theatre Guild and won a Spotlight Award for Outstanding Ensemble Actor. She has participated in Advanced Choir and has led worship in community events such as Mass and Mercy Nights.
In addition to her many gifts, this year’s valedictorian is recognized by her teachers and peers to be a young woman of deep faith and maturity who possesses both confidence and humility. She excels in all that she does yet remains humble and genuinely interested in others, eager to acknowledge and celebrate their accomplishments while understating her own.
These personal characteristics and achievements are consistent with her aspirations to study law and devote herself to serving justice for all. We have no doubt she will be successful in that pursuit and will contribute immensely to her future community in South Bend, Indiana at the University of Notre Dame.
Vaughn is a University School of Nashville graduate who attends the Cathedral of the Incarnation with her family.
