Salutatorian of the Class of 2025, Anna Kathleen Talbot

Congratulations to the Salutatorian of the Class of 2025, Anna Kathleen Talbot!
This year’s salutatorian has earned an impressive GPA while taking a rigorous courseload, finding time to participate in many school activities, and being an exemplary member of our community. Academically, she excels across disciplines and has been recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar. However, it is her love of STEM, and in particular Biology, for which she is most known.

Outside of the classroom, she has been a mainstay in the SCA Theatre Guild where she has been instrumental both on and off the stage. Whether she is checking mics, designing make-up, or acting, she has brought joy and enthusiasm to everything she does. Her passion for dance led her to assisting Creative Movement classes at the Nashville Ballet and in the St. Cecilia Dance Academy throughout her high school career.

However, anyone who knows this student knows her most ardent pursuit has been volunteering and working at the Nashville Zoo to acquire the knowledge needed to fulfill her dream of becoming an exotic veterinarian. Her senior year science seminar research project is on lemur behavior and hierarchy which is helping her on her desired path.

Her teachers have described her as “an energetic and gifted leader who seamlessly combines intellectual excellence, a love of service, discipline, and a wonderful sense of humor.” We have no doubt she will excel academically and bring joy and humor to her new community at the University of Georgia Morehead Honors College.

Talbot is a St. Bernard Academy graduate who attends First Lutheran Church with her family.
