SCA Spotlight Athlete: Susan Forrest '21

When asked about Susan, head coach David Donlon said, “Susan Forrest has been a dedicated member of the tennis team for all 4 of her years at SCA. As a senior, she is a leader on the team and an example to her teammates. Susan's combination of hard work and enthusiasm for the game have led to her great success on the court.”  We sat down with Susan to find out what makes her so special. 

 

Question:  How long have you been playing this sport?

Answer:  Since 4^th grade

Question:  What do you love most about this sport?

Answer:  I love playing singles. 

Question:  Who is your biggest rival?

Answer:  Ensworth

Question:  Do you have any pregame rituals or traditions?

Answer:  We always pray before each game. 

Question:  Do you have plans to compete collegiately?

Answer:  I have been invited to try-out for the team at Sewanee, so yes, I am going to give it a shot!

Question:  How close are you all as a team?

Answer:  Very close. 

Question:  What are your goals for this season?

Answer:  To WIN!

Question:  What do you attribute your success to?

Answer:  Coach Donlon

Question:  Are you a beach or mountains girl?

Answer:  I love them both!

Question:  Do you eat a full breakfast or more of a granola bar on the run kind of person?

Answer:  I love a good breakfast.

Question:  What is your favorite super power?

Answer:  I would love to be able to fly.

Question:  What was the last thing you watched and enjoyed on Netflix?

Answer:  Big Time Rush

Question:  If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?

Answer:  Kobe Bryant
