There is a place for every athlete at St. Cecilia Academy. The SCA athlete can compete in 12 varsity sports, including: basketball, bowling, cross-country, golf, lacrosse, rowing, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track-and-field, and volleyball. Well over half of our students play a sport, often while also taking a challenging class load and holding leadership positions in other school clubs.
We foster an environment in which all students learn to be team players. Girls hone their individual skills while also learning to work together. They often field championship teams but will always have a great time being together and developing close bonds with new friends. We offer girls who revel in athletic competition the chance to try out for a wide range of interscholastic sports. And we encourage every girl to be active—to discover the many ways that exercising the body awakens the spirit.
Being well the SCA Way also means that wellness touches every dimension of life—throughout one’s life. Students take wellness or strength training classes that set them up for lifelong good health starting in high school. Offered four days a week, these classes strengthen our students holistically by engaging them mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
