Jordan is a junior and member of the Swim team. When asked about Jordan, head coach Joe Helmer said, “Jordan has been a valued member of the swim team since her freshman year. Despite all of the challenges this year, Jordan has had 100% attendance and continues to push herself to become a better swimmer. Jordan embodies such a positive attitude, which is infectious, and helps keep us all smiling during such a trying time. She is a true team player and an important part of our team. I am proud of Jordan and look forward to watching her grow even more over the next 2 years.” We sat down with Jordan to find out what makes her such a fantastic teammate with a positive attitude.
Question: How long have you been playing this sport?
Answer: I have been swimming for SCA for three years, but swimming each summer since I was little.
Question: What do you love most about this sport?
Answer: I love how you can just zone out and push during training.
Question: Do you have any pregame rituals or traditions?
Answer: nothing for before the race, but during races, especially near the end, I always remind myself that I can go harder than I think!
Question: Do you have plans to compete collegiately?
Answer: Nope.
Question: How close are you all as a team?
Answer: Very close. There is always lots of good natured teasing at practice and that comes from a close bond between the team.
Question: What are your goals for this season?
Answer: To qualify for regionals in the 50 Free and 100 Back.
Question: What do you attribute your success to?
Answer: We have a great team that keep me motivated to work hard every day.
Question: What do you love most about being a Scarab?
Answer: We are all so close. It is such a great environment here.
Question: What is your favorite TV show?
Answer: Parks and Rec.
