The Scarab Nation Spotlight Athlete is Edie Sartain '22. Edie is the starting goalie on the varsity soccer team.
Edie Sartain is the Scarab Nation Spotlight Athlete. Edie is a junior and starting goalie on the varsity soccer team. When asked about Edie, head coach Kalyn Pruett said, “Edie took on a job as our goalie that she has never played before and she is really excelling! She is super dedicated to being a goalkeeper and continues to want to get better every day. She is such a hard worker and gives a great attitude, energy, and effort.” We sat down with Edie to find out what makes her so special.
Question: How long have you been playing soccer?
Answer: Since Freshman year.
Question: What do you love most about soccer?
Answer: The team and being around such great people.
Question: Do you have any pregame rituals or traditions?
Answer: Listening to music and everybody singing along to get pumped up.
Question: Do you have plans to compete collegiately?
Answer: I am definitely open to it!
Question: How close are you all as a team?
Answer: Super close! We are always together and can talk about anything with each other.
Question: What are your goals for this season?
Answer: To continue to improve!
Question: What do you attribute your success to?
Answer: Working together and supportive teammates.
Question: What is your favorite TV show?
Answer: Vampire Diaries.
Question: What are the top 5 songs on your playlist right now?

Answer: Oreos

Answer: The great community. Everyone is so supportive of each other.
