Q: How many classes does a student take at one time?

A: St. Cecilia has an eight-class schedule. There are only seven periods in a day, with one different period rotating out every day. Therefore, students have an opportunity to take eight classes, or have seven plus study hall.

Q: What is the average class size?

A: 13

Q: What if my child would like to take two languages or two sciences simultaneously?

A: This is possible as long as she is able to complete the rest of the requirements for graduation. The academic counselor works with each student and her parents to plan out an academic program that maximizes each girl's academic experience here at St. Cecilia.

Q: What kind of study skills support do you have?

A: The Freshman Seminar program works with students to help them gain organizational and study skills as well as stress and time management that will serve them for the rest of their life. There is also a math study hall specifically for students needing more help with math and science.

Q: How can my daughter receive extra help in a class?

A: St. Cecilia has an eight-class workload. There are only seven periods in a day, with one different period rotating out every day. Therefore, students have an opportunity to take eight classes, or have seven plus a study hall. Teachers are also available before and after school for extra help.

Q: Do you provide transportation?

A: Yes. St. Cecilia Academy has an agreement with Montgomery Bell Academy to provide morning bus transportation with three routes as a service and convenience for St. Cecilia families who live in Rutherford County, Wilson County, and Williamson County.
