SCA is making a big impression in Divison II, AA

Led by St. Cecilia Academy alumnae head coach Sarah Cragon '08 and assistant coach Susan Beavin George '08, the SCA volleyball team has made a big impression returning to the TSSAA classification: Division II, AA.

The SCA varsity volleyball team went on the road to our rival Catholic schools and returned home with victories in big district games. On Tuesday, August 29, SCA defeated Pope John Paul II High School in three games: 25-15 ; 25-22 ; 25-15. On Thursday, August 31, SCA traveled to Father Ryan High School and pulled out another victory in five games: 30-28 ; 16-25 ; 25-21 ; 15-25 ; 15-5.

Head Coach Sarah Cragon '08 said, "The volleyball program at St. Cecilia Academy is one of discipline and dedication, and I am grateful to have a group of varsity players who lead the three teams with confidence. The all-girl atmosphere is supportive, and these players are balancing having fun and working hard to accomplish their goals. They are passionate about this sport and set a great example to their teammates and classmates."
