Scarab Nation Athlete of the Week: Caroline Watkins
Caroline Watkins is the Scarab Nation Athlete of the Week. Caroline is a junior and a starter on the varsity tennis team, playing singles and doubles. When asked about Caroline, head coach Helen Neuhoff said, “Caroline got her season off to a great start with singles and doubles wins against rival Father Ryan High School and she has only progressed from there. On the court, she exhibits a calm confidence that disguises her fierce competitiveness. Caroline is a very coachable player and possesses the “short memory” that is necessary for a success in a sport like tennis where there is so much pressure on the individual.” We sat down with Caroline this week to find out what makes her so special.
