Entrepreneur Kia Jarmon kicks-off Leadership Workshop

On Saturday, Aug. 23, St. Cecilia Academy hosted its annual Leadership Workshop. The event aims to bring together student-leaders for a day to plan and strategize for the year. This year, brand coach and entrepreneur Kia Jarmon was invited as a guest speaker. Jarmon has been recognized by the Middle Tennessee Diversity Forum as the "Woman to Watch." She has also been named by the Nashville Business Journal in the "Top Forty Under 40" list. SCA students enjoyed her talk about servant leadership and "The Gift of Leadership."

Other speakers that day included SCA athletics director, Bryan Picklesimer on "The Gift of Influence," SCA alumna Mary Marshall Anderson '13 on "The Gift of Experience", SCA director of communications, Dr. Alexza Clark on "The Gift of Success", and SCA dean of students, Andres Montana on "The Gift of Adversity." The event was led by Maggie Kuyper, director of student activities.
