Student Support

Student Support

St. Cecilia Academy is committed to helping all students navigate life’s challenges with grace and courage. For students with specific needs, SCA offers a Learning Support Program as well as personal counseling. Within our Catholic liberal arts tradition, student support is not separate from the academic program but an integral part of it, ensuring that every student is equipped to pursue truth with confidence and perseverance. We partner closely with faculty, families, and administration to provide individualized guidance that fosters intellectual growth, self-knowledge, and academic success, allowing girls to grow in confidence in their God-given abilities.

LEARNING SUPPORT

Our Learning Support Program is designed to provide a positive, Catholic college preparatory program for highly motivated students with average to above-average intelligence and diagnosed mild learning differences, psycho-social stressors, and physical disabilities. Students receive enhanced academic support to compensate for minor learning differences. Students receiving support are completely integrated into the academic, spiritual, and co-curricular life of the St. Cecilia Academy community. Students participate in the same classes as their peers, and the curriculum for all students remains college preparatory. The program is led by a highly qualified Learning Specialist dedicated to helping students think on their own, take responsibility for their education, be successful in St. Cecilia classes, and become lifelong learners.

PERSONAL COUNSELING

Students experiencing social and emotional difficulties may meet with SCA’s personal counselor, Mrs. Krissie Betbeze, MA, LCSW. These conversations help students grow in resilience, identify and correct unhealthy thinking patterns, and develop a deeper capacity for authentic friendship. Cooperation with parents and teachers, while respecting student privacy, also assists in preparing each SCA girl to live a life of confidence and peace.
