"You too, dear young people, can be joyful witnesses of His love, courageous witnesses of His Gospel, carrying to this world a ray of His light.” - Pope Francis
The Catholic tradition has always understood the human person as more than just a body or a mind. St. Cecilia Academy recognizes within each student a composite of unique intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical gifts that she will develop and share with the world. Every St. Cecilia Academy student experiences numerous opportunities to discover and develop those talents, whether through the classroom, the chapel, the stage, the playing field, through travel, or in service to those in need. St. Cecilia Academy prepares students to face the future as well-rounded, fully integrated young women of character, confidence, and grace.
Recognizing we must first go to Jesus ourselves in order to give Jesus to the world, St. Cecilia Academy offers a rich Sacramental Life where prayer is a natural part of the student’s day. It is characteristic to see students visit the chapel on their lunch breaks or to stop by on their way to class. The Rev. John O’Neill, campus Chaplain, offers daily mass at 7 a.m. in the St. Cecilia Academy Chapel. All school Mass is celebrated once a month. Adoration, Benediction, and Confessions are available during religion classes on the first Friday of every month. Father O’Neill is available to hear confessions on Wednesdays at Aquinas College at noon, on the first Friday of every month and by appointment. Additionally, Sodality, the school’s oldest club, prays the Rosary together each Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. in Mary’s Corner. We invite you to join us for any and all of these opportunities.
