Two St. Cecilia Academy rising seniors participated in selective summer programs at United States Services Academies. Corinne Baroni attended the United States Air Force Academy Summer Seminar in Cool Springs, Colorado and Grace Laster attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

The excitement mounts daily at St. Cecilia Academy where students and faculty are preparing for the total solar eclipse set to occur on Monday, August 21, 2017. Tennessee is one of 14 states that will experience approximately two minutes of darkness. Students and teachers at St. Cecilia are preparing eagerly to see this once-in-a-lifetime celestial event.

Led by the 2017 St. Cecilia Girl, Valedictorian, and Salutatorian, the 70 graduating seniors of St. Cecilia Academy earned over $16.2 million in merit scholarships. These young women will attend 46 colleges across 22 states.

Zoe Dongas was named valedictorian, Nicole Chandonnet was named salutatorian, and Brianne Kendall was named St. Cecilia Girl, considered the school's top honor for a graduating senior.

Every spring, the Tennessee Math Teachers Association sponsors a state-wide High School Math Competition. Twenty-two Nashville-area schools participated in the competition at Lipscomb University.

Alumnae are a vital part of St. Cecilia Academy's 157-year history. Over 3,500 young women have graduated from St. Cecilia since its founding in 1860.
