Fine Arts at St. Cecilia
St. Cecilia is known throughout the state for its exceptional fine arts program. The SCA Forensics Team excels on both the state and regional levels. The Advanced Choir, Chamber Ensemble and Dance Ensemble delight audiences at school and community events. The Visual Arts department organizes the end of the year celebration "Arts Parts," a juried exhibit of student art. And the renowned Drama Department produces a play and musical of near–professional quality each year. Art works, dance productions, forensics monologues and performances by the SCA Advanced Choir all serve as vital ways to celebrate the arts at St. Cecilia.

Cheekwood Scholastic Art Competition 2008
Gold Key Awards: The Highest Level of achievement on the regional level. Gold Key winning works are forwarded to New York for national level adjudication.
Anna Marchetti won two Gold Keys for two Mixed Media Pieces titled Miles and Survivors
Silver Key Awards: Presented for distinguished achievement on the regional level.
Anna Marchetti won one Silver Key for a painting titled August
Rachael Foley won two Silver Keys for two photography pieces titled Road to Nowhere and OZ

Advanced Choir honors
SCA Advanced Choir consistently receives all superior ratings at both regional and State choral adjudication festivals sponsored by the MTVA and ACDA organizations.
SCA choir students regularly audition for Freshman Honors Chorus, Mid-State and All-State Honors Choirs. Over the past ten years, more than 100 students have qualified to participate in these events.
Dance News and Honors
Ms. Lisa Gillespie, dance instructor and computer teacher, is appearing in the play Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Boiler Room Theatre in Franklin, TN.
Laura Chapman, class of 2009, recently auditioned for Governor's School in dance.
Marissa Parkes, class of 2008, just auditioned at Julliard and Fordham in New York City.
During Interim, Ms. Gillespie and Mrs. Goldammer took 14 girls to New York City. They experienced many art museums and professional theatre productions.
