St. Cecilia Arts Courses

The underlying belief is that every girl benefits from experiences in the Fine Arts. Our curriculum and co–curricular activities reflect this belief. During her freshman year, each girl is required to take a course called VAP (Visual And Performing Arts). This class combines components of dance, drama and visual arts. Beginning in the freshman year, students may also sing in a choral ensemble. Through the following years, the girls have many opportunities to take Fine Arts courses, including:

• Visual Arts 2A, Visual Arts 2B, Advanced Visual Arts, Studio Arts AP, Drawing, 2D Design
• Beginning Photography, Intermediate Photography
• AP Art History
• Speech/Drama Intermediate, Advanced, Master
• Chorus I, II, III, and/or IV
• Intro to Choral Music
• Advanced Chorus I, II, III, IV
• Chamber Ensemble
• Dance II
• Tap I, Tap II
• St. Cecilia Academy also offers private music lessons in piano, strings, guitar and voice.
