St. Cecilia Arts Organizations
In addition to classes offered during the school day, students are encouraged to take part in the following organizations and productions:
- Art Club - an exciting group of artists who provide suppport school activities, design backdrops for school dances, travel to local galleries and offer workshops such as photography.
- Dance Ensemble - meets weekly to choreograph and rehearse for school presentations such as Dance Night, half-time entertainment at basketball games, and Pep Rallies.
- Forensic Team - have placed first in Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League District Tournament for the past 15 out of 17 years.
- Theatre Guild - an active group of thespians who provide workers for all aspects of theatre productions and school assemblies.
- Photography Club - This club offers workshops, speakers, and opportunities for community service.
- Two Major Productions each year (a musical in the fall and a play in the spring); recent productions include: Pride and Prejudice, Beauty and the Beast, Little Women and Grease.
- Students may audition for instrumental ensembles based at Montgomery Bell Academy.
- SCA is also starting a Chamber Ensemble in the 2007 - 2008 school year.
